Properties
Inorganic and Colorless trigonal crystal, density 2.257,decompose at 380℃. It easily dissolves in water and liquid ammonia; dissolves in methyl alcohol and ethyl alcohol; slightly dissolves in acetone and glycerinum. When dissolved in water, the solution will become colder and absorb heat, the liquor is neutrality. It is made by industry alkali absorbing nitrogen oxides, then crystalized by evaporation. It will flame or explode as mixed with sulphur or sodium sulfite.
Usage:
It can be widely used in all kinds of industries, such as glass, explosive, firework, metallurgy, enamel industries. It can also be a catalyst in making sulfuric acid.
